Electrification pilots should start with duty cycle
Hardware selection comes after the actual operating pattern is understood.
Start with the route
Document distance, frequency, passenger or payload profile, operating hours, turnaround time and environmental conditions.
Understand energy and charging
The relevant question is not simply battery capacity. It is whether energy demand, reserve requirements and charging windows fit the real operating schedule.
Include service continuity
A commercial operator still needs to move customers when equipment is unavailable. Maintenance, backup service and recovery plans belong in the pilot design.
Map approvals before conversion
Engineering suitability, safety, insurance and the regulatory pathway should be established by appropriately qualified specialists before execution is committed.
Measure the operating case
Compare energy cost, maintenance, availability, service quality, charging time and other agreed metrics against the current baseline.
